.577 Snider, .320 Revolver & .32 Stevens Rimfire Ammunition declared “Not Commercially available” in Queensland

Queensland Police Weapons Licensing Group’s list of cartridges deemed “Not Commercially Available” has been expanded to include .577 Snider, .320 Revolver, and .32 Stevens Rimfire.

Antique firearms chambered in these cartridges and which were made before January 1, 1901 no longer require a firearms licence in Queensland, and longarms do not need to be
registered either.

Antique handguns do not require a licence in Queensland, but cartridge-firing or cap-and-ball antique handguns must be registered with Weapons Licensing within 14 days of acquisition.
