Well over 1,000 shooters peacefully gathered on the steps of Parliament House in Perth on August 14 in support of the Disallowance Motion and to show their displeasure with the way they have been treated by the WA Government.
Shooters Union WA state advocate Steve Harrison spoke at the rally, calling on the WA Government to stop its war on licensed firearm owners, stop using lies about community safety, stop the arrogant attitude towards shooters, and encouraging the Government to take accountability for its actions, apologise, and fix the problems it has created under false
pretences.
It was fantastic to see responsible firearms users standing up publicly for their rights, and that they were being joined by farmers and 4WDers - who have also recognised that the Government is coming for them next.
