Our efforts to get firearm sound suppressors made available to all shooters are constantly being thwarted by people who get their information from movies and video games, and think suppressors make guns quietly go "pew pew" (spoiler alert: they do not).
But where does that "pew pew" sound (which doesn't sound anything at all like a real suppressed gunshot) come from?
