Recent Changes to SUA Public Liability Insurance

During the recent renewal process, several changes have been imposed by the insurer:

  1. Hunting Coverage:
Members who wish to be covered for hunting activities must now opt-in to the hunting liability cover. This requires members to be named on the policy. Currently, there is no additional cost for this opt-in, but this may change in the future.
  2. Exclusions for Hunting Locations:
The policy now excludes coverage for hunting on stud cattle or horse properties.
The policy also excludes activities by the Inland Hunting Group / Inland Hunting Territories.

SUA is actively working with our insurers to demonstrate the low level of risk involved in safe and ethical shooting activities. Our goal is to improve the cover and conditions for our members, ensuring comprehensive protection while maintaining our commitment to safety and compliance.
