Our South Australian president Peter Heggie has made numerous attempts to meet with Ministers from the Labor Government in the State regarding matters affecting the shooting community, only to be fobbed off to departmental Chiefs of Staff instead of the actual Minister.
Peter needs to discuss issues including range rules, PTA delays, and unacceptably slow licence processing times with the Minister themselves, and will continue to push for a meeting with them instead of their staff.
As he puts it: “I’m disgusted the Minister hasn’t got 30 minutes for a face-to-face meeting about serious issues affecting thousands of people, but apparently has time for selfies and coffee shops”.
If you are in South Australia, please contact your MP, let them know of this issue – and that you want the Police Minister to make himself available in person for a meeting with Peter.
