Phase 1 of The Gunnery Shooting Complex – officially affiliated with Shooters Union – is now complete.
The complex at Lameroo (about two hours east of Adelaide) features distances ranging from 50m to 1800m, plus 12 large (approx. 20m x 20m) pistol bays, most offering a 270-degree range of fire. This facility is now one of the largest IPSC ranges in South Australia.
The range is funded and privately owned by The Gunnery and does not receive any Government funding.
The Gunnery Shooting Complex operates on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday each week, hosting IPSC competitions on every one of those days – and rifle competitions are on the horizon, set to debut later this year.
Future plans include 3-gun events, Western Action matches complete with Western Town staging, 5-stand skeet matches, 300m IPSC rifle and IPSC Pistol Calibre Carbine matches.
We believe The Gunnery Shooting Complex is set to be the ultimate shooting range in South Australia and encourage all our members in the state to be part of it.
