Good news out of Tasmania – thanks to the work of several shooting and hunting groups (including Shooters,Fishers and Farmers Party of Tasmania, Field & Game Australia, the Australian Deer Association, and ourselves!), the state has reversed its recently implemented ban on recognising interstate firearms licences for hunters.

As of January 13th, interstate Category A&B firearms licences will again be recognised in Tasmania for both competition shooting and hunting purposes.

This is a great outcome with significant implications for Tasmania’s regional economy and tourism industry, and we’re proud to have contributed to getting it sorted out.
