NSW Native Game Bird Management Program

The NSW Department of Primary Industries has advised that they are running a series of pre-season information nights.

NSW Native Game Bird Management Program

Come to one of our pre-season information nights to find out how you can hunt wild ducks in NSW

We’re hitting the ground running in the lead up to our third year of managing native game birds in NSW. Come and join us for a pre-season update and help our landholders protect their crops in what’s expected to be a bumper year.

What you need to know…

We’re hosting a number of pre-season information nights for native game bird hunters – this season should see higher water allocations, more rice planted and a lot more ducks.

More rice = more ducks = more authorised properties available for hunting!
Native game bird species have already started breeding throughout the NSW Riverina wetlands due to extensive rain.

Join the native game bird support team for an informal information night where you’ll find out about:

  • water allocations
  • harvest forecasts
  • the best scientific information on wild duck populations
  • information on the native game bird management program.

Many more landholders will need your help protecting their crops this year – talk to us at one of the DPI ducks on the rice information nights and get involved!
